Our primary States of operation are VA, MD, DC, NY, CT, NC, SC, IL, FL, however, we are licensed and currently writing in thirty states nationwide.In 1996 ASL was formed by the Vice President of Markel Services, Inc. His vision was to purchase the existing book from Markel and maintain the established company and agent relationships. In addition, he wanted to create a new and aggressive company that would procure new company contracts and form new retailer relationships. Today the reality of this vision is ASL. We continue to represent carriers that are considered to be among the finest and most secure surplus and excess insurance companies. These carriers, rated "excellent" by AM Best, provide us with multiple outlets enabling us to assist you in securing coverage for a wide variety of risks and classes. We have a growing team that can offer both vast underwriting knowledge and competent service in order to meet all of your underwriting and processing needs.
